NATURE OF SOCIAL CONTRACT AND ITS UNDERSTANDING IN NATIONAL THEORETICAL LAW SCIENCE

Abstract

The institute of social contract, widely used in social science of foreign countries, has not yet received either its correct understanding or the practice of wide use in Russian social sciences. At present in our country, one can find item information about this institute only in terms of the science “Theory of State and Law”. Here social contract is mentioned, but only critically, and only in the topic devoted to the origin of the state. This paper aims to find meaning in this current situation and to show the wider possibilities for using the institution of social contract in our country.
